Happy Tuesday friends–it’s an exciting one. Today is summer home tour day! I’m excited to be participating in the Sunshine State of Mind Blog Hop hosted by Mansa from Simplicite. If you are here from Crazy Wonderful, welcome. My name is Caitlin, and I am honored to have you visit Caitlin Marie Design where I share seasonal tours, livable style, and budget-friendly decor. For my summer home tour today, I will be sharing our entryway, living room, and kitchen. This is a coastal farmhouse home tour featuring neutrals and blues, pretty patterns, and coastal inspired decor. Last week I shared a simple summer tablescape in our dining room, so be sure to check that out too! Let’s get started.

Coastal Farmhouse Entryway Decor
Do you have a space in your home that you frequently restyle and reimagine? For me, that space is our entryway. In fact, if there is one area of our home that is a picture of my decor journey thus far, this is it!
My taste has evolved quite a bit since we moved into our home a few years ago. Lately I’m loving a combination of styles–coastal, traditional, organic, modern–I really cannot choose a favorite. I think the blend keeps things fresh and interesting.

These lovely hydrangeas are leftover from my summer tablescape. In fact, they are still looking great three weeks after I bought them! I simply trimmed the ends and changed the water a few times. Maybe I just got a hardy bunch, but I’m impressed, especially since they were just from the grocery store!
Coastal Farmhouse Home Tour: The Living Room
The next stop on our coastal farmhouse home tour for summer is the living room. We’ve made a few changes since my spring home tour, and one of the main ones is the rattan side table! I eyed this table for months and finally ordered it when it was on sale a while back. The texture and warm tone is just what this corner needed.
I’m also loving these locust stems. They are so tall that I had to bend the bottoms of the stems, even for this large vase!
I recently collaborated with Heather from Aloe Place Studio, and she sent me three of her pillow covers. The fabrics are handwoven with beautiful texture and detail. They are definitely the focal point of our living room right now! I shared a post all about layering throw pillows if you are interested. Be sure to check out Heather’s shop, and use the code CMDesign20 for 20 percent off!
Finally, I switched up our ladder shelf, as I do each season. I like experimenting with different styles, and it turned out very neutral this time, with a boho flair. I meant to swap out the artwork in the frames but just didn’t get to it–perhaps for fall! I think my favorite piece is the strand of faceted bone beads, they are the perfect milky white and such a fun accent.
The Kitchen: Simple and Functional
I like to keep our kitchen very neat and functional. My hubby knows that waking up in the morning to a clean kitchen is my love language 😉 So I still to vases with greenery (mostly faux), a few pretty books, and kitchen items that we actually use for decor here.
I recently shared tips for decorating a white kitchen, in case yours is similar! The basket weave bamboo pendant is probably my favorite thing here, and I love that it was a steal compared to others I have seen.
Thank you so much for stopping by Caitlin Marie Design today! To continue on our Sunshine State of Mind Blog Hop, head over to Dans Le Lakehouse. You may also see all of the blogs on the hop listed below.

Hi there!
Love the style. Could you tell me where the fab console table is from? Thank you!
Hi Abbie! I apologize for the delay. The entry console was made by a friend based on Ana White’s Rustic X Console Table plans that you can find online! 🙂
