I can hardly believe that December is here! I recently completed a few DIY Christmas decor projects to refresh our home for the season. First up, these spray painted wooden Christmas trees. I found the cutest tiered wooden pine trees and wanted to turn them into a whimsical forest! I’ll be sharing where I found my trees (plus lots more options), the spray paint I used, and how I styled our entryway.

Before: Wooden Christmas Trees
I found these tiered wooden trees in the Target dollar spot and knew they would be perfect for our entryway! I love the look of wooden Christmas trees but they can be pricey, especially if you want to make a statement with a whole forest. These ones were only $1-$5 each which I felt was great for the size and style. If you do not have a Target nearby or would rather shop online, here are more tree options:
Spray Painting the Trees
I decided to use my favorite metallic spray paint for this project. The color is Champagne Bronze and is a pretty, muted gold tone that isn’t too yellow or orange. I gave the wooden trees two coats of spray paint following the directions on the can, and they were finished! So easy and budget friendly.
Note: If you do not have a well-ventilated area to spray paint, you could also use acrylic craft paint with a paint brush.
After: Painted Wooden Christmas Trees
Here are the spray painted trees styled on our entryway console table!
See my Instagram reel here! I’m so pleased with how this spray painting project turned out. It is a great reminder that you can makeover inexpensive pieces or Christmas decor that you already have into something fresh and new. Would you try this? I also spray painted a few wooden bead garlands that I’ll be sharing on our living room tree soon. XO,
