Cozy season is officially here, and I’m ready for all of the warm layers as the last of the autumn leaves fall and the weather turns crisp. A few months ago I shared our bedroom retreat in collaboration with Serena and Lily, and today I’m excited to share a more detailed review of our Serena and Lily bedding. If you love casual yet refined style and are on the hunt for quality pieces, I hope you find this post helpful! I’ll be reviewing the Cavallo Linen Duvet Cover, the Sutter Linen Quilt, and the Beachcomber Throw, and sharing a few new photos of our bedroom styled for the holiday season. Let’s get started!

Cavallo Linen Duvet Cover Review
When I think of Serena and Lily, their Cavallo bedding is one of the first collections that comes to mind. Does anything say relaxed yet refined like linen bedding? Woven by artisans from European linen, these pieces add a touch of luxury to your bedroom retreat. Now that we have used our Cavallo Duvet Cover and shams for a while, I can say that the quality is there, and I’m a huge fan of linen bedding. A natural fiber made from flax, it is both breathable and cozy. I chose the color Flax Chambray, but the Cavallo line also comes in blue and white.
On the Cavallo Duvet Cover, I love the corner ties that keep the duvet in place, and the quality craftsmanship. In the past we have had bedding that unraveled at the seams after washing, or loose strings that pulled out, but not so with these pieces. The matching Cavallo Euro Shams balance the look and are a cozy place to sit up in bed and read a book. They are machine washable and get softer each time.
Keep in mind: linen wrinkles easily, which creates the casual look. In particular, the flange trim on these pieces creases after washing. I ironed the trim on the euro shams to get a crisp corner, but did not bother with the rest as I see the natural wrinkles as a beautiful feature of linen. If you are looking for quality and luxurious bedding, I would highly recommend Serena and Lily’s Cavallo collection!
Sutter Linen Quilt Review (Serena and Lily Bedding)
Everyone has a preference in terms of bedding layers. Personally, I like to use a lightweight quilt as a middle layer between the sheets and duvet. The Sutter Linen Quilt has all of the same pros as the Cavallo line (quality craftsmanship, refined yet casual style) but I also love the quilted texture, and that it reverses from linen to cotton. This is by far the fluffiest blanket we have owned, which provides an airy and luxurious feel.
The quilt comes in a variety of colors, including pink! It is machine washable which is a must for me, and in terms of wrinkles, they are not as noticeable because of the texture. I would highly recommend the Sutter Linen Quilt if you are shopping for quality bedding!
Serena and Lily Beachcomber Throw Review
The final piece I want to mention is the Beachcomber Cotton Throw, which is a waffle weave blanket with pretty eyelash fringe. Again, I have not had any issues with pulled strings or unraveling, in contrast to similar throws have owned. It is machine washable and comes in four colors (this is Fog). I like tossing it over the end of my bed or desk chair for an extra cozy layer! This is another gorgeous piece to consider when updating your bedding.

Can u link the art above your bed?
Hi Sarah! Here is the digital print https://rstyle.me/+5H0OMGexREYtK7GL6bYcDA I had it printed on a 55×22 canvas by Canvas on Demand, but the last time I checked they no longer offered custom sizes. You could also use Frame It Easy if you would like framed artwork instead!
