Hello friends, and welcome back for WEEK 3 of the One Room Challenge! Can anyone else hardly believe we are halfway through the ORC? Yikes! I’m still figuring out the finer details of our modern traditional guest room makeover, but am so excited that the furniture is all in place. Today I am sharing the headboard, nightstands, and rug. Let’s get started!

In case you missed them, here are my previous ORC updates:

Tufted Headboard

A huge thank you to Brookside for sponsoring me and sending us the gorgeous headboard! As always, all opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links. By clicking a link and making a purchase, you can help support my blog at no additional cost to you! To read my policies, click here.

The biggest addition to the guest room this week was our new tufted headboard! As soon as we put it up, I could really begin to envision the space.

I’m so excited to be working with Brookside again as we love the headboard in our master! For the guest room, I chose their square tufted headboard that features a scoop edge detail. The linen look fabric is so pretty and works well with any decor style.

I can hardly wait to style this bed! I’ve ordered bedding and will hopefully share that next week 🙂

Dark Stain Nightstands

If you are following along on Instagram, you may have seen our new nightstands already! I spent so much time hunting for the perfect dark stain nightstands that were both sturdy (solid wood) and affordable. This week I’ve been playing around with nightstand decor, but still need to order a few pieces.

One of the best things about these nightstands is that they arrived assembled! Most of the furniture we have purchased over the last three years in our home has been of the “assemble yourself” variety, so that was an exciting moment 😉 We simply screwed on the legs, and they were ready!

Vintage Look Rug

The final update in the guest room this week was the addition of this beautiful vintage look rug! You have probably seen it before as it is definitely popular, but I think its popularity is well deserved! I love the olive and charcoal tones and the hints of terra cotta and gold. It is truly a chameleon rug and looks so different everywhere I see it.

This rug is so popular, it is always selling out! I will link it at a few different retailers below so that you may compare pricing (you know I love a bargain find!)

  1. Caitlyn, As a recent convert to minimalism, I love your style—Simple, yet elegant, classic with a twist of contemporary. And I love your abundant use of shades of white—brightens a room even on the dreariest Ohio winter days! 😉 It is such a joy for me to be able to follow your journey from my AP English class to wife, mother and interior designer and so much more!
