Hi sweet friends! The season of cinnamon, sweaters, and crunching leaves has arrived. I recently styled several new pieces of thrifted home decor in our living room and wanted to share today. I hope this post inspires you to decorate with thrifted finds, budget friendly decor, and staples you already have such as cozy throws, pillows, books, and baskets. So grab a cup of cocoa or coffee, relax, and come on a mini fall home tour with me!

Thrifted Home Decor on a Ladder Shelf

My first thrifted home decor find is this bread basket–it was a Goodwill find for less than one dollar! I styled it on our white ladder shelf and love the warmth that it adds. To finish off the look, I filled the basket with DIY book bundles made of thrifted books and blue glass jars.

Secondly, I recently thrifted this basket locally for less than three dollars and could not believe it. Now I’m on the hunt for more budget friendly treasures! I’m not sure if this basket style has a specific purpose, but it seems perfect for a pumpkin. A spray of dried baby’s breath adds a natural touch.

Pillow Covers for Fall Home Decor

I’m still gathering staples for our home since we moved in less than a year ago, and this is our first fall! Pillow covers are wonderful since they can be easily washed and stored. To refresh our sofa for autumn, I swapped our coastal pillow covers for a moodier palette. Earthy tones echo the hues of changing leaves, and a pop of blue mirrors a crisp, clear sky.

A Few Thoughts to Close

Side note: Photographing windows is a real challenge! I shot this room three times–but I’m learning a lot in the process. In the end I left my front door hanging wide open for more light and hoped no one came to ring the doorbell 😉 Still, thankful for the light that makes this space glow with warmth in the afternoons.

Thank you so much for stopping by our neutral living room styled with thrifted home decor for fall. Check out my updated guide to cozy fall decor for more inspiration!
