Metal Haunted Houses for a Modern Spooky Village

Looking for modern minimalist Halloween decor? Today I’m rounding up the best metal haunted houses for a spooky village in 2025!

A few years ago I refreshed some rustic metal houses with a fresh coat of black spray paint. Now they are some of my favorite pieces to bring out every October! So, in this post I’ll be sharing metal house options to help you recreate this look. After that, I’ll include a few ways I have styled my metal Halloween houses.

Best Metal Haunted Houses for Halloween 2025

Concordville Spooky Village from Anthropologie / Terrain

The first set of metal haunted houses that I found is the Concordville Spooky Village by Terrain, sold at Anthropologie. These metal lanterns are made of galvanized iron and have unique shapes such as a chateau, mausoleum, windmill, and matching spooky trees.

The downside to the Concordville village is that the houses and accessories are pricey, ranging from $44-$128. They also do not include lights. But oh so cute and detailed.

Secondly, these Amazon haunted houses are more affordable and have cute cut out details. Spooky bats, spiderwebs, cats, and witches make these lanterns feel a little more playful and fun! Prices range from $22-$35 at time of publication.

These haunted houses do not come with lights, but they have space inside for a tea light, small candle, or string lights.

Crate & Barrel Black Halloween House Sculptures

Thirdly, the small and medium houses from Crate & Barrel are great affordable options at $25 and $35. (The largest size is $45.) Just note that you will need to add your own lights or flameless candles.

Target Halloween House Sculptures

For the last few years, Target has released their own line of spooky village houses. They are on the smaller side, but most of the houses are only $5 which brings these in as the most affordable option! The 2025 Target houses include lights too.

Sets of Metal Haunted Houses from Amazon

Next, here are some more metal haunted houses that come as sets from Amazon for an affordable option. Prices range from $30-$70 for a set depending on the size and number of houses.

You can also choose which style of Halloween house you prefer: modern, traditional, or vintage. I especially love these alpine chalet style houses that could easily be spray painted black.

Grandin Road Pre-Lit Haunted Houses

Finally, these Grandin Road black metal houses are on the pricey side, ranging from $69-$129 (although they are currently on sale). However, the largest one is extra tall at 16 inches and includes a cute metal tree and owl. The houses also come with LED lights inside.

Black Spray Paint Makeover for Metal House Lanterns

If you already have white or silver houses in your Christmas decor collection, you can use black spray paint to create haunted houses! This is a great way to upcycle decor that you are no longer using on a budget.

Metal Haunted Houses for Halloween Kitchen Decor

Here are my black metal haunted houses styled in our kitchen! I used battery operated string lights inside the house lanterns. For other modern minimalist Halloween decor, I used wall bats on a wooden cutting board and faux purple flower stems.
