Little Girls Christmas Bedroom Decor Ideas

Today’s post is all about girls Christmas bedroom decor ideas. Adding Christmas decorations to kids rooms is an easy way to make the holiday season feel magical!
Last year I added a small tree to each of our kids’ bedrooms, and we all enjoyed the warm glow of the Christmas lights in the evenings. You can also use evergreen garland, twinkle lights, and throw pillows to adorn kid’s rooms for Christmas time.
In addition, I’m partnering with Wayfair on this post to share my favorites from their Black Friday sale, featuring free shipping and items up to 80% off! I just added a new mirror and desk to my daughter’s room that are both included in the sale.
Whether you are decorating a little girls or boys room with holiday cheer, I hope you find this post helpful! Grab a hot cocoa and let’s get started.
1. Small Christmas Tree for a Girls Bedroom
Having their own tree to decorate is so much fun for kids. We started the tradition of having small Christmas trees in bedrooms a few years ago, and it has been one of my favorites of the season.

I used a 6′ pre-lit tree with flocking in our kids rooms for a winter wonderland look. This one is very similar to ours! Another options is to style a white or pink miniature Christmas tree to make a big impact in a girls bedroom.
Here are my favorite smaller Christmas trees from Wayfair that would be perfect for a kids tree!
Some of my favorite items to use on a little tree in a kid’s bedroom are bead garland, fabric ornaments, faux berries, velvet ribbon, and a lightweight star topper. If you want to use traditional baubles, choose shatterproof ornaments that won’t break when the tree inevitably gets bumped. (At this point I only use shatterproof baubles throughout our home, lol.)

Many people have a tradition of purchasing new ornaments for their kids each year as a special memory. Seeing ornaments and photos from past years always puts me in the holiday spirit, and I know my kids are forming those core memories now too.
In addition, you can make a small Christmas tree a surprise by setting it up while kiddos are away at school or activities. We did this last year and it was so fun to watch them discover their own tree in their rooms!
2. Evergreen Garland for a Christmas Bedroom
Secondly, evergreen garland is perfect for girls bedroom Christmas decor. This real touch 5′ Norfolk pine garland and this 6′ Arborvitae garland are my favorites because they both look realistic!
Wondering how to style artificial garland in a girls bedroom? An easy way is to drape it across a dresser, headboard, or desk for a little Christmas cheer. You can even add twinkle lights or small ornaments to fit with the vibe of the room.
Norfolk Pine Garland

Here is the Norfolk pine garland (this is two) styled on my daughter’s dresser. I filled it out with little bottle brush trees, a few flocked branches, and faux pink peonies.
To complete the look, I used a felt ball garland wrapped around the dresser knobs and a knit stocking. (My exact items are from a few years ago, but I linked similar finds.)

In addition, while browsing Wayfair’s Black Friday sale I spotted this scalloped wood frame mirror. The wood tone has a cottage farmhouse vibe, and the wavy shape is so much fun! I knew it would be perfect for a kids room.
The mirror looks so cute on the dresser, but I may end up putting it at my daughter’s eye height on the wall for outfit checks and dance practice. What do you think?
Arborvitae Garland

Secondly, I used this Arborvitae garland on my daughter’s bookshelf that I purchased a few months ago. The bookcase is perfect for a small space because it is narrow and doesn’t take up a lot of room.
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is reading festive books at bedtime. I just brought out the Christmas books and can’t wait to start this year!

You can also try a flocked garland for that winter wonderland look, or a garland already decorated with lights and ornaments. Here are some more pretty options for girls Christmas bedroom decor!
3. Christmas Village for a Girls Bedroom
Thirdly, one of my favorite girls Christmas bedroom decor ideas is a simple village with houses and bottle brush trees.

We’ve had our village for a few years now, but these ceramic houses from Wayfair are very similar! They are easy to style with either neutral or colorful bottle brush trees, depending on your aesthetic. I also love these wooden houses for a farmhouse look.

I styled this mini Christmas village on top of my daughter’s new desk from Wayfair! Now that she is in first grade and enjoying writing and drawing so much, we knew that it was time to add a desk to her room. I searched for one with practical storage and a generous size that she will be able to use for years to come.
This kids media desk is sturdy and comes in so many colors. The connected hutch on top includes plenty of storage space for papers, notebooks, and art supplies. It also comes with a desk chair.

Another perfect little Christmas accent for a kids room is a stocking or two. I love the look of cable knit stockings for a cozy vibe!
4. Twinkle Lights for a Girls Christmas Bedroom
Another great idea for holiday decor in a little girl’s room is twinkle lights for a magical Christmas glow. You can use traditional Christmas lights, or smaller fairy string lights work too. (Always be sure that lights and plugs are out of reach of small children for safety.)

If you are wondering where to style a string of lights in a girls bedroom, here are some ideas!
- Nestle battery powered lights onto bookshelves or ledges.
- Style lights on the top of a desk or dresser.
- Line a doorway or window with a string of lights.
- Line the arches of a dollhouse with twinkle lights.

Speaking of dollhouses, I had to mention that our large wooden dollhouse is on sale with free shipping! My daughter is six years old and this has been one of her most played with toys this year. It comes with wooden furniture and is the perfect size for 12-inch dolls.
5. Christmas Throw Pillows and Blankets
Finally, finish up your girls Christmas bedroom decorations with a cozy throw blanket or seasonal pillow. Candy cane pillows (these are similar) are some of our favorites!

Other cute Christmas bedroom ideas include a gingerbread girl, star pillow, or Christmas tree. Wayfair has so many cute ones, so I rounded up my favorites below:
In addition, this is the perfect time to make a girls room feel cozy for winter. For example, you can layer flannel sheets with a duvet cover and chunky knit throw. If you prefer a festive touch, check out this cute holiday bedding!
