Two years ago I shared my daughter’s big girl room reveal. I can hardly believe it has been that long! She is now nearing five years old, so I wanted to give her bedroom a little makeover with new curtains, bedding, and decor. She also received a large wooden dollhouse for Christmas so some of the furniture has been moved around to make space. Today I’ll be sharing a mood board featuring velvet curtains, mauve bedding, floral artwork, classic decor, and a cozy accent chair for reading books together. I would love to hear what you think of this girls’ room refresh plan!

Girls’ Room Refresh Mood Board
Here is the plan for Ladybug’s room! I have already purchased several of the items over the last few months and have been working on putting it all together. Hopefully I will be able to share a reveal in just a few weeks. Here are the sources:
- Velvet curtains in “wild rose”
- Cream upholstered bed
- Block print lumbar pillow
- Mauve floral print quilt
- Faux flowering tree
- Cozy pink slippers
- Faux wood table lamp
- Foraged flowers wall art
- Green wide brim bowl
- Checker basket
- Chunky knit throw
- Slouchy lounge chair
- Pink floral pillow
The Wooden Dollhouse
Ladybug received this large wooden dollhouse for Christmas and I wanted to give it a special place as a part of her big girls’ room refresh. We moved her cube organizer into the closet so that the dollhouse would fit against this wall, and I think it looks so cute–in addition to being fun to play with! I’m just not sure if I should decorate around it at all… maybe a few rattan hooks or small framed pictures for a “collected” look? What would you do?
I’ve been getting things organized as a part of this room refresh. If you have been doing the same, be sure to check out my post about the best home organizers for 2023. And stay tuned for the full reveal in a few weeks! What projects are you working on? XO,
