Fall Tablescape with Fresh Florals and Greenery

As the days of summer wane and a crisp autumn breeze arrives, we anticipate the cozy seasons ahead. This simple fall tablescape is perfect for gathering with loved ones at home. Foraged greenery and fresh florals create a look that is both casual and elegant.

Welcome friends! It is a special day because I am sharing my first FALL post of 2019! Autumn is by far my favorite season, and I get so giddy around this time of year as I look ahead to cooler days, cozy sweaters, pumpkin patches, cinnamon tea, and all things harvest. Today I am sharing a simple fall table as a part of a Fall Tablescape Tour hosted by Alicia from Nick + Alicia. I hope we inspire you to welcome fall with joy, and to welcome friends and family into your home.

Setting the Tone: Fresh and Foraged

To set the tone for this fall tablescape, I focused on simple, natural elements. Creating floral arrangements is a relatively new hobby of mine, but I’ve found that I enjoy it immensely. Here I used flowers and eucalyptus from my local grocery store (budget friendly!) and two types of greenery from my yard (even more budget friendly 😉 ).

Here’s how to create this romantic, foraged look:

1. Begin with greenery. Drape long stems over the side of the vase (I used a bit of store-bought eucalyptus, but mostly leaves from my yard). Be generous and fill out the sides of the arrangement.
2. Next, add a few types of flowers near the center for a pop of color and whimsy. Choose florals with different shapes/sizes so they do not look too similar.
3. Finally, fill in the center of the arrangement with a denser greenery (again, I used cuttings from bushes in my yard!).

Setting the Table: Simple and Inviting

When setting my table, I again decided to keep things simple. Noticing a theme? 😉 With two little kiddos running around, we aren’t too fancy these days!

A linen blend tablecloth from Homegoods adds warmth to our white dining table. I used melamine plates that look like stoneware, and pretty textured bowls from at At Home. You may remember the blue cloth napkins from my summer tablescape! To finish off the look, I added a small greenery stem to each place. (Some of these items are not available online, but I will link similar options below!)

One of my favorite things about this tablescape is the wide glass vase. The visible stems look so pretty and add to the casual, foraged look of the arrangement. I found my vase at At Home, but this one is similar (just a bit smaller).
