Hi friends! Today I’m so excited to share boho fall decor inspiration from our living room. The season of apple picking, crisp mornings, hot drinks, plaid scarves and cinnamon everything is upon us. Over the last several weeks I’ve enjoyed daydreaming about autumn and planning our fall decor, and finally decided to just go for it! Grab a warm drink and enjoy this tour of our boho fall living room. I’ll also be sharing tips on how to achieve the look!
Boho Pillow Covers for Fall Decor
One of the simplest ways to make any room welcoming is to add throw pillows–they invite guests to make themselves comfortable and stay a while. I’ll admit that I have a bit of a pillow obsession! However, most of these are actually pillow covers with down inserts. Pillow covers are easier to store, so at least my habit isn’t taking up all of our closet space!

For our fall boho decor in the living room, I decided to stick to mostly cream, white, and tan. But I brought in the warmth of the season with a few faux leather and velvet covers, plus cozy blankets. I’m loving boho farmhouse style recently, and a combination of textures, geometric patterns, pompoms, and tassels helps create that look.
Baskets and Texture for Boho Fall Decor
For additional warmth and texture, I used a hammered gold vase, chunky basket, and straw hat. This year I’m finding that the right decor basics can add just as much character!

I think my style is leaning towards the simpler side as I find myself using fewer outright seasonal pieces, like pumpkins, and more of what I already have. Of course, that is just my personal taste at the moment. Pumpkins everywhere are also wonderful!
Warm Woods and Stacked Books
I’ve already shared our boho ladder shelf styling in a separate post, but thought I would include a few photos here too. Shelves are a great canvas for seasonal decor and to add interest to a large wall. Since our home is open concept, we have a lot of wall space that needs structure!

I love the look of a mantle with built-ins on the sides, but since we don’t have a budget for architectural changes right now, a ladder shelf serves that purpose.
I’ve really enjoyed decorating for fall this year–after a tough pregnancy I am just thankful to feel more like myself! Thank you for stopping by to see our boho fall decor in the living room. I would love to see your decor and projects too, so leave a comment below.
I love it! So cozy. You inspire me to change up my decor a little for the seasons!
Yay! Thanks so much Kiki! It is fun to change things around, you don’t even necessarily need to buy new things 🙂
