If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ll know that our sweet Ladybug was born mid-July. She is already almost six weeks old, and despite the sleepless nights, nursing challenges, and general exhaustion, in retrospect the time has simply flown. I’ve been getting back into decorating over the last few weeks! The creative outlet brings me joy and helps me to feel like myself. I recently spent some time searching for a textured pendant light for our kitchen. My dad helped us swap out our builder grade light fixture with this woven bamboo pendant shade from World Market, and I just love the warmth it adds to our white kitchen!

Affordable Textured Pendant Light

Our new textured pendant light was budget friendly which was an important factor to me! We used the existing wiring and chain to make life easy, but World Market sells electrical cord swag kits if you need one.

Overall I am so pleased with the look that can lean either boho or coastal depending on your decor. The pendant gives off a cozy warm glow, and since we are using a frosted bulb, the light is not blinding–my struggle with exposed bulbs in light fixtures–although a vintage Edison bulb would also look great.

Boho Kitchen Decor

I rarely share our kitchen because it is such a high traffic area and never completely tidy or styled. Despite the fact that I love to organize, the kitchen does not stay photo ready 😉 However, it is fun to style it up! Here I added warm woods and metals, textures, and a pop of mustard yellow to invoke the early days of fall.

I found these brass candlesticks at Goodwill for a few dollars last year, and love the character they add to any space! The footed wooden tray is from the Hearth & Hand line at Target.

For a touch of greenery, I added a Moscow mule mug with a faux plant inside. And I recently found this beautiful seagrass tray on sale from H&M online–one of my favorite places to shop for budget decor!

Our counters are no longer this tidy, but I enjoyed putting this fall kitchen together! There is something about the start of a new school year and the first crisp whispers of fall that I find so invigorating. Although I am exhausted and a bit overwhelmed with our season of life right now, I am also excited for the quiet delights of each day, decorating for the holidays, and new adventures to come.

Have you done any fall decorating yet this year? I would love to see your cozy fall spaces, including decor from previous years if you haven’t started yet this season. Or leave a comment below sharing your favorite autumn treat. I’m getting excited for hot apple cider and pumpkin donuts 🙂 I hope you enjoyed seeing our new textured pendant light today!
