Hi sweet friends! It may be a winter wonderland outside, but today I’m sharing tips for styling your entryway with coastal decor. I love adding a subtle beachy vibe to our home, not least of all in the winter months when we need the reminder of sunshine and sea. Warm up your home with these coastal entryway decor ideas, featuring ocean inspired artwork, seagrass baskets, and a bubble glass table lamp.

Coastal Entryway Decor: Artwork
You may have noticed that this ocean painting has made a little voyage around our home. Last summer I had it styled in our coastal living room, and more recently I used it in our modern coastal master bedroom. I’m a huge fan of shopping our home when I can and changing up our spaces by using what we already have! So when I was looking for coastal entryway decor, I knew the painting would be the perfect starting point. This is my favorite place for it–so far 😉
Unfortunately my painting is no longer available, but I rounded up some ocean-inspired paintings and printables that I think you will love:
Coastal Entryway Decor: Accents
For simple coastal entryway decor, shop your home! You probably have some of these items already:
- Light or whitewashed wood trays
- Seagrass baskets
- Glass accents
- Bone beads or seashells
- White or cream linens
- Natural elements (greenery, grapewood branches, driftwood)
- Coffee table books
I received this lamp for Christmas and love the airy, coastal vibe it adds to our entryway! These faceted white bone beads were a recent discovery from Etsy, and the books were also Christmas gifts.
As for all of the other pieces you see, I already had them! You may remember the wooden tray from our fall living room last year, and my hammered gold vase from our classic Christmas entryway.
If you are on the hunt for a few new coastal accents, I’ve rounded up some favorites!

Coastal Decor Accents
In terms of styling, I decided to keep my design simple. In the past I have packed decor items onto this console table (check out this post from a year and a half ago!), but lately I’ve been craving a more modern, minimalist look. I’ve learned that scale is more important than quantity when it comes to decorative accents. It is more visually pleasing to use a few larger statement pieces–such as the lamp and vase–than to clutter the space with little items. Of course, this is my personal taste! But I do love a clean look for January, especially!
I hope you found this post helpful! What are your favorite coastal decor items? Do you reserve coastal style for summertime, or incorporate it all year long? Leave me a note below!
Where is the entryway table or console from? Deets please.
Yes, where did you get the entry table??
Hi Emily! A friend made this console table for us based on the Ana White “Rustic X Console Table.” He did alter the design a bit, but you can find the original plans online! 🙂
Hi, I am very interested in the canvas artwork you have displayed in the table. Where did you find this piece? It is absolutely beautiful.
Thank you
Hi Shelly! This piece was from Homegoods several years ago so I cannot link it, but you may like this one! https://rstyle.me/+w5yYSfxnSMD-3-QbOk7kFg
