Entryway Accent Wall with Palm Wallpaper
Our entryway has been a design challenge for me. I like to have a console table here, a few steps from our front door, in order to provide a drop zone for keys and last minute essentials. But the awkwardly shaped stair wall always bothered me. So, I wanted to find a way to make it feel more cozy and welcoming.
I finally realized that installing peel and stick wallpaper for an entryway accent wall would be the perfect solution! This green botanical palm wallpaper from The Home Depot is a classic pattern that adds a coastal, tropical vibe to our entry.
The peel and stick wallpaper comes in a 20.5 in. x 18 ft. roll and covers about 30.75 sq. ft. I ordered four rolls for our staircase accent wall and had a partial roll leftover. Be sure to calculate the total wall area and order extra for pattern overlap or mistakes!
I cannot believe how different our entryway feels with the botanical wallpaper accent wall! Check out more pretty wallpaper options here.
Entryway Accent Wall Botanical Decor
After installing the wallpaper, I gave our entryway a refresh with decor from The Home Depot. These plug-in gold wall sconces are so gorgeous and allow you to skip the electrical work of hardwiring. I was even able to use smart bulbs and control them with my phone!
Secondly, I chose this espresso console table. It is very narrow in depth so it does not stick out too far, and the drawers are great for keys and small essentials. Also, can we talk about this gold ornate mirror? It is exactly what I have been looking for–a perfect designer dupe.
To make a statement while keeping the tabletop decor minimal, I chose this textured vase and styled three faux palm branches to match the coastal wallpaper. They are a beautiful muted green.
Finally, I am always finding ways to add functional storage with decor. This pair of seagrass baskets is great for throw blankets, slippers, or books. Also, the white tassels are the cutest!
More Botanical Decor Ideas in the Dining Room
To finish up this summer decor refresh, I added botanical decor to our dining room as well. This bust planter is from The Home Depot and looks high end! I draped faux begonia leaves around the planter for a lush, garden inspired look.
Secondly, I added this 34″ round mirror to reflect light and create a backdrop for more botanical decor. These gold planters (they come as a set of three) are debossed with a leaf pattern, and the marble tray has gold ivy handles. I finished off the look with a framed bird painting and two matching lamps.
This beautiful sideboard is actually two cane cabinets pushed together! Their light wood tone and woven texture lends itself to a natural, botanical decor style.
Finally, I styled our dining room table with a large beige planter, a smaller ivory planter, and faux ivy. Three candle holders balance the look that feels so garden chic.
I hope you found this post inspiring if you would like to create an entryway accent wall, or style your home with botanical decor! Thanks again to The Home Depot for sponsoring this post and allowing me to style pieces from their home decor and furniture collection. Let me know in the comments: which find was your favorite? XO,
Caitlin! I absolutely love all of the styling you did!!! It looks beautiful, and perfect for the summer. All of the faux plants fooled me – I thought they were real at first. And I don’t know why, but something is drawing me towards that bust planter. I’ve been seeing them everywhere right now.
You did an amazing job!

Love this! I am thinking of doing an accent wall in the foyer of a botanical wallpaper.
Thanks so much Pamela, I’m glad you found it inspiring! 🙂
