Coastal Home Decor Refresh with Serena and Lily
Today I’m partnering with Serena and Lily for a coastal home decor refresh! I’ve loved Serena and Lily’s coastal home decor shop for a while now, and jumped at the opportunity to style some of their gorgeous throw pillows for summer. Lately I’m loving California casual style, so I chose blue and neutral coastal pillow covers to achieve that look. Want to create your own light and airy living room? Coastal Home Decor in the Living Room
My favorite way to refresh a space seasonally is to mix and match pretty pillow covers. For summertime, I love classic stripes, subtle blues, and neutral textures like linen and canvas. Serena and Lily has the prettiest selection of coastal pillows, complete with tassels and textures to make a pillow lover’s heart swoon!

I had so much fun styling these beauties in our coastal inspired living room. We do not live near the coast, but I’ve long loved salty breezes and beach sunrises, having enjoyed Outer Banks vacations with my family as a girl. To me, coastal home decor creates a livable space where family and friends feel welcomed. It adds a touch of vacation to the everyday. Here are a few wider shots of the space:
For some of these photos, I moved our faux olive tree next to the sofa. I love the light and airy look it creates!
Coastal Home Decor in the Bedroom
Of course, I had to try styling our Serena and Lily pillows in our coastal bedroom as well! I recently added wicker sconces, and I love the finishing touch that the neutral and blue pillows add. In the above photo, I used a traditional pillow arrangement. Below, I tried something more minimalist with a single blue tassel pillow. Which look do you prefer?
When I’m in our bedroom, I can almost believe I’m at the beach! It has taken time and hard work, but I love the task of making our house a home and adding special pieces that bring us joy.
