Happy fall friends! It is officially my favorite time of year, and I’m already planning for spooky season. My personal taste is what I’m calling “classy Halloween decor” which features vintage-inspired decorations, neutrals and earth tones, and minimalist styling. Expect to see flickering candles, autumn branches, cobwebs, crows, bats, and stylish jack-o-lanterns! Whether you are prepping for a kids’ Halloween party or an elegant Halloween dinner, I hope you find this post inspiring. Let me know in the comments below which idea was your favorite!

Gold Metal Jack-O-Lanterns Centerpiece
First up, these metal jack-o-lanterns from Michaels. I ordered several of both the 8 inch and 9 inch sizes and spray painted them metallic gold (the color is actually called “champagne bronze”). These would be perfect for a front porch! Here I styled them with some creepy cloth and flameless pillar candles for a classy Halloween tablescape.

Halloween TV Art + Media Console Decor
Secondly, I set the scene in our living room with some elevated Halloween Frame TV art. Can you tell I’m a huge fan of faux candles? These ones are battery operated with flickering LEDs and lasted all season on one set of batteries.

Haunted House Lanterns for a Spooky Village
If you have old ceramic or metal houses from a Christmas village, you can spray paint them matte black for spooky season! I styled these in my kitchen with battery operated string lights and a few bats, but they would also be perfect for a classy Halloween mantle or table centerpiece.

Faux Maple Tree With Autumn Leaves
Make a statement for fall and Halloween with a seasonal tree. After eyeing this faux potted maple tree for years, I finally went for it! I kept my spooky decor minimal in the photo above, but you could dress up your fall tree with bats, birds, or cobwebs.

Artificial Fall Branches and Stems
Artificial autumn branches transition easily from fall to classy Halloween decor. I especially love these plum fake leaves because they look realistic and add just a hint of spookiness! Here is a similar look for less.

Minimalist Halloween Dining Room with Bats
Need easy and classy Halloween decor for an empty wall? Try these decorative bats that come with adhesive stickers and can be used again and again. They are perfect for a dining room wall, kitchen cabinets, or outside for spooky porch decor! Alternatively, try these chic butterflies!

Classy Halloween Console Table Styling
Give your entryway a classy Halloween refresh! Here I used neutral decorations such as wispy florals (similar), a wooden pumpkin (similar), and cute crows from Target (similar). You could also take it up a notch by draping creepy cloth or cobwebs over the mirror and table.

Vintage + Heirloom Halloween Decor
Last year I decorated our sideboard with ceramic Halloween lanterns that were hand painted by my husband’s grandma. They have been passed down through his family and make me smile as I think about the generations that have enjoyed them! Styling heirloom or vintage pieces is a great way to add a classy look to your Halloween decor.

Spooky Chic Coffee Table Decor
As for your coffee table, add a subtle witchy vibe with crows and a bowl full of decorative acorns and mushrooms (mine were from Target, but here are some cute wooden mushrooms from Amazon). Another option would be to use brass frogs or insects, apothecary bottles, and old book bundles.

Halloween Quote Sign + Cobwebs
Who doesn’t love a spooky Halloween quote? Here are a few ideas to try out on a chalkboard or felt letter board covered with cobwebs.
Double, double toil and trouble;
William Shakespeare
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves,
Humbert Wolfe
We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!
Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Neutral Halloween Throw Pillows
Finally, last year I found these sherpa ghost pillows which are a great dupe for the ghost from Pottery Barn. We named them Goldie and Gilbert and had so much fun with them throughout the season! But if ghost shaped pillows aren’t your thing, there are so many neutral and classy Halloween pillows to choose from.
