Welcome friends! A few months ago I shared that I have been working on loving our kitchen. For a long time I did not give it much thought or energy, because I only saw the things I wanted to change. However, after showing this space a little love, I can say that I have truly experienced a change of heart. Little additions have made all the difference, and I’m excited to share a few of them with you today–the main one being our new washable runner from Walmart Home. It is beautiful, affordable, AND machine washable! If you have been wary of adding rug because of kiddos or pets, this post is for you. Walmart has so many budget friendly washable rugs, so I’m also sharing a roundup below.

The Perfect Kitchen Runner

I never added a runner to our kitchen in the past because I felt it would require frequent spot cleaning and would not last long. Our kitchen works hard these days with two kiddos, not to mention work-from-home parents who love snacking 😉 But since our new runner can be tossed in the washing machine, I’m not stressed about spills. It can be used with your rug pad of choice and comes in so many pretty prints–I will link them all below!
Budget Friendly Washable Rugs
Walmart carries a wide selection of washable rugs, and they recently released a line that includes our blue and gray runner. I am linking all of them below because the designs and colors are so good. Each one comes in a variety of sizes (including runners)!
Other Kitchen favorites from Walmart
I will be sharing more of our cozy fall kitchen soon, but wanted to include a few of my other kitchen finds from Walmart in this post. As you may know, my gray and gold air fryer is my favorite appliance!
I also just added this pretty white trash can to our kitchen. Yes, I just used the words pretty and trash can in the same sentence! I spent a long time researching and chose this one because of the large size and soft close lid. It is also the most aesthetically pleasing trash can I have ever seen!
Do you have a machine washable rug in your home? We have a few now and they are such a great invention! I hope you found this post helpful and inspiring. Happy weekend!
