Welcome friends! Today I’m excited to share a first look at our home styled for autumn, my favorite season, beginning with our cozy fall living room. This year I am taking a subtle approach with fall florals, warm tones, and lots of texture. Additionally, you may remember that I shared my plans for a living room refresh back in January. Throughout the year, I have slowly updated this space, and it is finally complete! So this post also serves as the reveal. I hope you find it inspiring as we transition from the warmth of September to the crisp days of October.

Cozy Fall Living Room Before and After

Since I shared my living room design plan in January, this space has been a labor of love. I updated our tv wall decor, restyled the awkward space to the right of the windows, and swapped out the white curtains for beige pinch pleats. The final touch was the addition of a new rug, which truly made all the difference. My main goal was to add warmth and balance to this space, and I think it was a success! One thing I have yet to do is add a ceiling fixture, but after the other changes I decided it wasn’t as necessary as I had thought. I may still do that eventually, but for now I am so pleased with this completed refresh!

Cozy Fall Living Room Details

Vintage Look Rug

Speaking of the rug, here is a closer look. I had the opportunity to partner with Loloi, which was a dream come true because I absolutely love their selection. This is the Loloi Wynter rug in Grey / Charcoal (8’6″ x 11’6″), and while I plan to enjoy it for every season, it seems especially perfect for autumn. The grey and charcoal tones are accented with navy, beige, and rust for a beautiful vintage look. I recently shared an affordable rug roundup, if you are on the hunt!

Faux Leather Woven Cubes

These faux leather woven cubes are also newish, and some of my favorite pieces in the space because they are both pretty and functional. I store them beneath our entryway table most of the time, but pull the out in the evenings to use at footrests. They also balance out the space (as styled above) and would work as additional seating. If you would like to learn how to display artwork on your tv, I have a post all about it!

Beige Pinch Pleat Drapes

I’m still so pleased with our pinch pleat drapes from Amazon! If you missed it, I wrote a detailed review here. I love how they add visual weight and coziness to the space.

Cozy Fall Living Room Coffee Table Styling

As for decor, I restyled the coffee table with a few pieces from the Studio McGee fall collection. The wooden chain adds so much warmth and brings out the rust tones in the rug. I used faux hydrangeas from last year (similar) to create a simple arrangement in this ceramic vase.

Gallery Wall and Blanket Ladder

Finally, here is the other side of the room. Our family gallery wall will be updated soon since we are having new portraits taken in October. I shared our family photoshoot outfits earlier this week if you are interested! To warm up this view for autumn, I draped a plaid throw over my blanket ladder and swapped out the pillows on the accent chairs (similar). You can also see a glimpse of the door I painted.

I hope you found this tour of our cozy fall living room inspiring friends. Relaxing here with a mug of tea and a good book is my happy place! More often, I’m listening to a podcast and folding laundry on the coffee table. Either way, I have loved making this space more “me” over the last eight months, and it is fun to look back and see how far it has come. Are you slowly working on a space in your home? I would love to hear below! XO,

  1. You did such a lovely and professional job! I can’t believe those chairs are from Home Depot. Excellent find (and great reviews about the chairs online). Where did you get your couch? I love the cushy cushions and the color.

  2. Your home is lovely. The designs are clean and not overstated. I am curious as to where you purchased your couch. Thanks for sharing.
