This sweet Valentine’s Day tablescape features grocery store flowers and simple treats, perfect for a Valentine’s party or luncheon on a budget.
Welcome, friends! Today I’m so excited to be a part of an inspiring Valentine’s Day blog hop! If you are visiting from Jenny’s Whimsical Valentine’s Nook over at Palm and Prep, I’m so honored to have you. My name is Caitlin and I enjoy blogging about interior design, budget decorating, and motherhood. You can read more about Lion & Lantern here.
Today I’ll be sharing a sweet and simple Valentine’s Day tablescape. This look would be perfect for a fun Valentine’s party or luncheon. Best of all, everything is easy and budget friendly! Let’s get started!
Honestly, I haven’t worked with florals much until now, but after having so much fun with this arrangement I think I will be doing a lot more! I loved choosing the colors and textures for this piece, and challenging myself to do it on a budget. At the grocery store I headed straight for the clearance florals and picked out the white roses and some of the greenery. (Not sure if you can tell, but the eucalyptus is actually faux! I already had it at home.)
For the rest of the arrangement, I chose inexpensive blossoms and baby’s breath. At home, I had so much fun arranging! I took a few photos of the process and will be posting a tutorial next week, so be sure to check back!

Simple Place Settings
You may recognize the scalloped gold chargers, white plates, and gold flatware from my Simple Thanksgiving Tablescape. If you don’t recall, I have a little secret for you! 😉 The plates are melamine, and the flatware is disposable! I love the look of gold flatware, but rather than investing in a new set right now, I’ve been using this budget-friendly alternative.
Easy Sweets & Treats
Last but not least, a Valentine’s tablescape needs sweets and treats! And as a tired mama of a toddler and 6-month-old, I went ahead and purchased everything at my local grocery store 😉
Simple treats like candies, popcorn, yogurt or chocolate covered pretzels, and pastries make the perfect munchies for a Valentine’s luncheon or party. I even found some pretty seltzer waters to coordinate with my flowers, and ta-da! This tablescape is complete.
