Fresh pine, layered bedding, twinkle lights, and festive accents help make our bedroom cozy for Christmastime! Keep reading for budget decor tips for the season.
Hi sweet friends! I can hardly believe that Christmas is less that two weeks away! Last week I had some fun sprucing up our master for the season, and today I’m sharing budget decor tips for a festive Christmas bedroom. Let’s get started!
Cozy Bedding
One of the simplest ways to make your bedroom cozy is to layer blankets, duvets, and/or quilts. For this look, I used a waffle weave blanket underneath our white duvet. Our bedding is nothing fancy; I would love to update this space with more luxurious bedding like linen someday, but for now, this simple white duvet cover works for every season and is simple to dress up! Work with what you have to create cozy layers. Folding down your quilt or duvet adds a welcoming touch.

Simple Christmas Accents
To add a festive flair, I incorporated just a few Christmassy accents. I layered two trays on top of our duvet and added some twinkle lights and a brass horn that I found at Goodwill for just a few dollars. On our nightstands, I used vintage Christmas music that my sweet friend Heather sent me last year, as well as a wooden reindeer and a metallic candleholder. Simple touches like these add Christmas cheer on a budget–and I can continue to enjoy them after the holidays pass!
Fresh Greenery
I love the look of a fresh garland for Christmastime! I did not plan ahead this year–newborn mom life, hehe!–and since my local grocery store did not have garland, I simply bought fresh pine branches and laid them over my headboard. The look is so classic and welcoming. If you use fresh greenery, be sure to spritz it with water to prevent drying (and fire hazards!). There are many beautiful faux garlands and branches out there as well–I think I may invest in some at the end of the season!
