Hi dear friends! HERE IT IS! At last! I’m finally sharing my farmhouse book bundle tutorial that I have been mentioning for months (here, here, here). These are so incredibly simple and cheap, you will be nestling them into every nook and cranny of your home decor, if you’re anything like me. I even styled my little bookcase to show you how these would be wonderful for Christmastime…

I just love the texture and warmth they add to any space! So let’s get started on the tutorial.

Farmhouse Book Bundle Supplies

  1. Books that you do not mind defacing 😉 I started out with a box of my childhood paperbacks that I planned to toss anyway. Of course, then I wanted more, so I went to my local Goodwill. Both hardback and paperback books work well.
  2. Twine or ribbon
  3. Scissors

Farmhouse Book Bundle Steps

  • Begin by tearing the covers off of your books. If you are a book lover like me, it might be a little painful. But remember that you are using these otherwise unloved books in a way that will bring you joy and will warm your home. Plus, you can still read them if you really want to 😉
  • If possible, tear off a few extra pages so you have a BLANK page facing up. This is not necessary if you do not mind seeing the text, or if you will style them in a way that does not show the top of the bundle.
  • Stack several books. You can face them all one direction, or mix them up so you see some spines and some pages (see example photo below).

  • Cut a length of twine or ribbon and wrap it around your bundle. When using twine, I wrapped the bundle several times so that the twine would appear thicker. I tied all of my bundles, but you could also use glue if you prefer with ribbon.
  • Tada! Quick, easy, and inexpensive book bundles! Do a little dance!

I recently ordered this Christmas sign and had to style it up, even though we still have a few days until Halloween. I think the book bundles allow the sign to shine while adding warmth and texture.
