Hi sweet friends! Today I’m sharing a corner of our living room and the beautiful new sign I received in the mail last week. This little nook is still a work in progress, but I want to document things along the way instead of waiting until everything is perfect (after all, perfectionism is a pretty steep goal). I love the slow process of collecting treasures for our home, and am enjoying the journey. So here it is, my ever-changing living room 😉
My sweet friend Emili made this Scripture scroll for us, and oh my, it is so gorgeous! I love these verses from Daniel; they are such a beautiful reminder of God’s power and faithfulness. My favorite lines are the final two: He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.
What a promise! I love reading these encouraging words each day. I reached out to Emili about creating this custom scroll and she was so helpful; you can visit her Etsy shop here!
I’ve shared this little bookcase in the past, but have recently moved things around a bit. This is the same thrifted bread basket I shared in my Neutral Fall Living Room tour, and the acorn garland is a favorite I bring out each year.
We haven’t purchased many new things for this area, so I have been experimenting with pieces we already have to create a cozy, welcoming look.
I’m hoping to collect some assorted round baskets from thrift stores to hang on the wall to the right of the scroll. Gimme all the texture! 😉
These “old” books are more of my childhood paperbacks with the covers torn off! I have been using them just about everywhere (here, here, and here). This is a neat way to repurpose unwanted books, and I suppose you could still read them if you wanted to.
The bouquet of Baby’s Breath that I purchased over a month ago is also still adorning our shelves. To dry, simply hang the stems upside down for several days; I taped mine to the side of a table.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, sweet friends! What have you been working on in your home? I would love to see your projects, so leave me a comment and include your blog or Instagram page. Hope you have a cozy evening!
